Esports is a global industry and with its popularity growing in Europe, we can gain enormous exposure to the market with access to the mentors, investors & other tech companies attending the event giving us a chance to understand tech growth and explore the potential to expand globally.
Describe the problem you are solving
We are average gamers who never got a chance to play professionally or gain any benefits by playing online games. There are multiple esports tournaments hosted world wide for pro level gamers, but what about the 99.9% of the other casual gamers who still spend hours everyday playing the same game? This made us realize the gap and the potential of hosting virtual tournaments where these gamers get a chance to make a mark and also make money.
How are your customers solving that problem today?
eSports as an industry is fairly new in the Indian market. Prior to Gamerji, most of the tournaments were either hosted offline or using social media platforms. Registrations, player management & payments were handled using different platforms. Gamerji brought all of this at one place and is currently hosting more than 15 tournaments everyday for games like PUBG, Clash Royale, Call of Duty mobile etc.

What is your revenue model or expected revenue model?
1) League Joinings: Tournaments on the platform are joined by paying an entry fee. 80% of the joining amount is distributed as winnings and 20% is kept by Gamerji as platform fees.
2) Sponsored Leagues: Companies wanting to market their brand/product to the gaming audience are interested in sponsoring a tournament.
3) Monthly Subscription: We have a monthly subscription model for gamers to avail additional benefits like discounts on league fees, profile enhancement, reward coins etc.
What is your target market?
Our targeted audience is people ranging from age 16 to 35 who spend more than 25 mins everyday playing virtual games. According to statistics this audience size globally 400M.

What steps have you taken to validate the market?
We started Gamerji with a tournament Air Drop 1.0 which was to study and understand the market. This tournament had more than 5000 players and after conducting a survey from these gamers, we concluded that the community is looking for a solution to make additional income and also make a name or career in the esports industry.

Who are your competitors and how are you different?
Most of the eSports companies are focused on either conducting offline tournaments on a grand scale or sponsoring teams. The focus has never been on casual gamers who consist of the majority of the market. At Gamerji, we have researched and understood the mindset of a casual gamer who on an average spends more than 2 hours everyday playing online games.

Gamerji was launched in July 2019 and currently is standing at the following numbers. Registered Gamers: 78000, MAU: 26500, DAU: 2700, CAC: $0.04, LTV: $2.3 (Average since launch) & 1800+ tournaments conducted so far.
